Held at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Best Drone Warfighter Competition pushed teams into dense terrain, poor weather, and tight timelines — exactly the conditions where today’s drone battles are decided. Soldiers had to fly reconnaissance drones, conduct FPV strike runs, navigate obstacles, manage live video feeds, and coordinate as a single fighting unit while communications and visibility broke down.
