Honor launched its latest flagship Android phone, the Honor Magic 8 Pro, last month in China. With a starting price of CNY 5,699 (~$801) in China, the Honor Magic 8 Pro competes with phones like the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Vivo X300 Pro, and Oppo Find X9 Pro. The Magic 8 Pro is expected to arrive in international markets soon.
According to a new report by GSMArena, the European model of the Honor Magic 8 Pro will have a compacter battery than other regional variants. The source reveals that the Chinese and global models of the Honor Magic 8 Pro feature batteries rated at 7,200mAh and 7,100mAh, respectively.
However, the EU model of the Honor Magic 8 Pro will reportedly have a 6,270mAh battery. This builds it around 13% compacter than its Chinese counterpart. On the brighter side, it is still an improvement over the 5,270mAh capacity of the Magic 7 Pro in Europe.
The source has not revealed the charging information for the Magic 8 Pro’s EU variant. Meanwhile, the Chinese model charges at 120W via wire and 80W wirelessly.
Honor Magic 8 Pro key highlights
Apart from the battery size, the Magic 8 Pro’s EU variant may remain identical to the Chinese model. The phone comes with a 6.71-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1256 x 2808 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. On the front, it has a 50MP camera for selfies. Another key highlight of the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a flagship chipset also found in the latest OnePlus 15.
