Harvey has signed up Eversheds Sutherland’s international arm as a customer, extconcludeing the legal AI startup’s expansion across Europe as competition in the platform market heats up.
The firm declared an initial cohort of 350 lawyers will gain access to Harvey with immediate effect, with a full rollout across its international business scheduled to launch in May this year.
Eversheds Sutherland’s international chief Keith Froud described 2026 as the firm’s “Year of AI”, as it views to embed generative AI more deeply into its client offering.
European push
The win marks another significant European foothold for US-headquartered Harvey, which has been doubling down on the region after building momentum in the US market.
In a recent 2025 year-in-review update, Harvey declared it had topped $190 million in annual recurring revenue, with adoption across more than half of the AmLaw 100. The company has also been stepping up its European presence, opening an office in Paris and hiring a vice president of EMEA sales, alongside investment from European private equity giant EQT.
In Europe, Harvey’s chief competitor in the legal AI platform race is Stockholm-based Legora, which has signed up dozens of large law firm customers. In the UK, Harvey’s existing law firm clients include A&O Shearman, CMS and Macfarlanes, while on the in-hoapply side it recently landed banking giant HSBC.
Eversheds’ ‘Year of AI’
Froud declared Eversheds Sutherland had taken a cautious approach to generative AI, concluding only after an extconcludeed pilot that the technology was now mature enough to justify a significant investment across the firm’s international platform.
Rachel Broquard, the firm’s service excellence partner declared the pilot with Harvey “produced clear benefits,” pointing to workflow automation, contract review and drafting as areas where Harvey had delivered gains.
Harvey chief executive Winston Weinberg declared the company was honored to be part of Eversheds Sutherland’s ‘Year of AI’ initiative.
