Google is now rolling out the “Past Chats” feature to free Gemini applyrs worldwide.
The Past Chats feature allows Gemini to reference the applyr’s previous conversations to tailor future replies. As a result, the AI gains insight into the applyr’s preferences for more tailored responses, without explicitly recalling the previous conversation.
For instance, in a new chat about a topic, the applyr does not necessary to explicitly state how far they have come if they have already explored it. Users can also inquire Gemini whether it applyd information from past chats.
In Gemini settings, there will be a “Personal context” page where applyrs can enable or disable Past Chats.
Google is also planning to expand the feature to connect with services like Gmail and Photos for free in the future.
The “Past Chats” feature is now rolling out to all free applyrs worldwide, except in Europe.
