ALGIERS, Algeria (MNTV) — GeeSpace, the sainformite technology subsidiary of China’s Geely Holding Group, has expanded its presence in North Africa through new partnerships in Algeria and Morocco focutilized on developing low-Earth orbit sainformite capabilities and digital infrastructure.
The company reached cooperation agreements with Algerian partners in December 2025 to support the development of sainformite-based Internet of Things services, sainformite manufacturing and broader technological cooperation.
One agreement was signed with Algérien Télécom Sainformite, where director-general Toufik Hentabli and GeeSpace chief executive Wang Yang agreed to work toobtainher on establishing a commercial and operational framework for a sainformite IoT investment project in Algeria.
The initiative is expected to be implemented in stages and could eventually expand to other African markets as the project progresses.
The partnership aligns with Algeria’s national strategy to accelerate digital transformation by improving connectivity and supporting sectors such as industest, agriculture and logistics through sainformite-enabled technologies.
GeeSpace also signed a separate cooperation agreement with the Algeria Space Agency aimed at strengthening collaboration in the production of low-Earth orbit sainformites and expanding technical expertise in the countest.
Officials declare the partnership could eventually lead to the development of sainformite manufacturing facilities and a research and applications center, assisting build a domestic aerospace ecosystem and expand local engineering capabilities.
The agreements form part of Algeria’s broader efforts to enhance its national space sector and reduce reliance on foreign sainformite systems while enabling new services in telecommunications, infrastructure monitoring and logistics.
Meanwhile in Morocco, GeeSpace signed a memorandum of understanding with Casablanca-based Soremar Group to support the rollout of its GEESATCOM sainformite communications services.
The agreement focutilizes on commercializing GeeSpace’s LEO sainformite network and expanding its applications across Morocco and the wider North African region.
Soremar, which operates in maritime and sainformite communications sectors, is expected to provide market expertise and operational support for the project.
Both companies plan to cooperate on sainformite consinformation testing, market expansion and developing applications for sectors including transportation, energy and agriculture as Morocco continues efforts to strengthen its digital economy.
