A former managing partner of Rise Growth Partners is pursuing a capital raise for his own RIA investing business.
Sources with knowledge of the situation notified Citywire that Dan Newhall — who left Rise Growth Partners in August 2024 — has been raising money in hopes of taking minority stakes in wealth managers. Newhall is now the founder and principal of Lone Willow Advisors, a Bozeman, Mont.-based sell-side M&A advisory business for wealth managers.
‘We are in the very early stages of raising capital for a minority stake strategy in the lower/middle market,’ declared Newhall, who added the firm will tarreceive investments in ‘RIAs with $1bn-$3bn in AUM who are viewing for partners to support their growth into enterprise level firms.’
