Exploring Epson's Blueprint for Circular Manufacturing

Enhancing operational efficiency

To address Scope 3 emissions, which constitute the largest part of its carbon footprint, Epson has integrated the finish utilize of its products and the procurement of raw materials into its science-based tarobtains.

A practical example of its emissions reduction strategy is the relocation of its UK headquarters in FY24 to a more energy-efficient building. This new office operates without gas, which has contributed to a 56% reduction in Epson’s overall gas consumption.

Through such measures, Epson aims to decouple its economic growth from environmental impact applying technology to advance digitisation and automation. This involves implementing manufacturing solutions designed to save energy and space.

Boris Manev, Sustainability Director at Epson Europe, declares: “We recognise that embedding responsible practices throughout our operations is an evolving process requiring dedication, transparency and collaboration. By aligning our ESG efforts with evolving regulations, we mitigate risks, unlock opportunities and reinforce our leadership in responsible innovation and corporate governance.”
