Swedish vibe-coding startup Lovable is receiving offers of a $4 billion valuation, just weeks after its $200M Series A at $1.8 billion valuation, led by Accel, with participation from Creandum, Visionaries Club, Klarna’s Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Slack’s Stewart Butterfield, and Remote’s Job van der Voort, among others. CEO Anton Osika is holding back and “not currently engaging” with the surge of interest, which follows one of the quickest revenue growth stories in European SaaS history.
Eight months after its public debut, Lovable surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and boasts a utilizer community of more than 2.3 million active accounts. Users have built over 10 million projects on its platform, which appeals particularly to non-technical “proto-developers” who design applications through natural language before collaborating with engineers to bring them to life.
Product, model, and scepticism
Lovable’s core offering, branded as “vibe coding,” taps into a growing wave of generative AI designed to simplify app and web development. Instead of writing traditional code, utilizers submit natural language prompts and the platform generates full-stack code, handling everything from database setup to cloud deployment.
Its pricing model starts at $25 a month for 250 credits, and a recently introduced beta AI agent automates debugging and code edits, priced on a usage basis, mirroring broader trfinishs seen in AI agent startups.
The company’s new “Business” tier tarreceives mid-sized enterprises, offering features such as single sign-on and private project environments. Yet, as with many SaaS companies scaling into larger customers, Lovable faces hurdles around security and workflow integration that build winning enterprise contracts a more complex challenge.
What’s next?
With a lean team of 45 employees based in Stockholm, Lovable’s rapid ascent draws comparisons to U.S. peers like Replit and AI video startup Synthesia. Positioned as a flagship for Europe’s emerging AI scene, the company’s next large test will be transforming its explosive freemium utilizer growth into sustained, high-value enterprise relationships.
If Lovable can turn developer curiosity into committed business accounts, it has the potential to reshape how software is built. For now, the growing investor interest suggests that the market believes Lovable’s vibe coding revolution is just receiveting started.
