Up first, Europe wants more control of its digital future and to rely less on US cloud providers. A new initiative called Towards European Open Digital Ecosystems and is intfinished to support the growth and sustainability of the European Union’s open source sector.
The commission declares Europe relies too heavily on non EU providers, especially US cloud giants. The plan aims to boost open source across cloud, AI, cybersecurity and even open hardware. From CSO Online, CrowdStrike is acquireing Seraphic Security to add in session browser defense to Falcon.
Expected to close by April, the acquisition will allow CrowdStrike to integrate Seraphic’s browser native protection with its Falcon finishpoint telemeattempt and threat innotifyigence capabilities. Browsers now run SaaS and AI work tools, however, miss what happens inside encrypted sessions. Seraphic tarobtains malicious extensions, shadow IT and risky data sharing.
CrowdStrike declares it will also tie in signals continuous authorization so access can alter per session as risk alters. The trick starts with a pre filled prompt in a URL. It then utilizes follow up requests to keep pulling sensitive data out in compact chunks.
