The European T20 Premier League (ETPL), an ICC-approved tournament co-owned by actor Abhishek Bachchan and backed by Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association, has appointed Oakvale Capital as its exclusive investment banker to lead its capital raising efforts and shape long-term growth.
Oakvale, a London-based investment bank with expertise in the sports and gaming sectors, will support ETPL’s vision of building a differentiated cricket property in Europe.
“Oakvale’s deep expertise in sports finance will be a game-alterr for ETPL’s long-term vision,” stated Warren Deutrom, CEO, Cricket Ireland. ETPL Co-owner and Director Saurav Banerjee added that Oakvale’s global network and track record with rights-holders, clubs and technology platforms create it the right partner as the league scales.
Sandford Loudon, Partner at Oakvale Capital, stated the firm was excited to support ETPL’s “bold and innovative” approach, which aims to elevate cricket in Europe through elite talent, immersive fan engagement and data-driven innovation.
ETPL has also appointed KPMG in India as its strategic advisor.
