JAKARTA – The James Bond film franchise has been synonymous with a row of cutting-edge technology, including advanced vehicles that are the mainstay of the secret agent in facing enemies. Throughout its history, this iconic character has been recorded as having driven various legfinishary cars such as Bentley, Aston Martin, BMW, to Lotus.
However, in the upcoming James Bond film, the franchise is rumored to present something different by featuring the BYD Denza Z9 GT. The presence of this model marks the first time that a Chinese-created car has appeared in the series’ large screen film.
Launching from Arena EV, Saturday, April 4, this relocate is considered in line with Denza Z9 GT’s plan to be launched soon in the European market. Its appearance in the James Bond film is believed to increase the appeal and perception of European public opinion towards BYD products.
The model that will be marketed in the region is an improved version introduced in September last year, with improved performance and mileage. In terms of specifications, this vehicle is equipped with three electric motors that can produce up to 960 hp.
The acceleration is claimed to be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. Meanwhile, the maximum range is stated to reach 800 km thanks to the utilize of a 122 kWh capacity Blade Battery 2.0 battery.
Not only that, the embedded Flash Charging technology allows charging from 10 percent to 70 percent in just five minutes. While for full charging only takes about nine minutes.
With its ferocious performance and futuristic design, the Denza Z9 GT is considered very suitable to support the character of the James Bond film which is full of action and technology. It’s not hard to imagine Agent 007 driving this car in tense scenes in the latest film later.
On the other hand, this relocate also reflects BYD’s ambitious ambition to expand its global reach, especially by tarobtaining a wider market share in Europe.
