European sustainability reporting rules that kicked in last year face a drastic rebelieve, as EU technocrats work to simplify them after complaints the rules were rushed through and are too complex.
“The EU’s sustainability reporting rules urgently required to be recalibrated,” the believe tank Centre for European Policy Studies declared in a summary of an indepconcludeent analysis conducted for the European Parliament in June. “What launched as a bold legislative push to steer markets towards environmental and social goals is now displaying signs of regulatory overreach.”
