The so-called Omnibus I package aims to reduce complexity and unnecessary barriers, cut red tape, enhance efficiency and introduce more flexibility for companies, the Council of the EU declared in a statement. It will come into force 20 days after it is published in the EU’s Official Journal, then member states will have one year to transpose its provisions into national legislation.
