The European Commission approved Global Payments’ acquisition of Worldpay, stateing the deal would not raise competition concerns.
Global Payments announced its $22.7 billion bid for Worldpay on April 17.
The European Union executive declared Tuesday that the deal would have limited impact on competition in the regions where the businesses are active.
