EU Builds Bridges: A Strategic Alliance with India

The European Union has unveiled a comprehensive strategic agfinisha in partnership with India, marking a significant step in bilateral relations. The agfinisha, unanimously supported by all 27 EU nations, aims to enhance collaboration in key sectors such as defence, trade, and technology.

According to the European Commission and the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Kaja Kallas, the agfinisha outlines five main areas of interest: security and defence, prosperity, sustainability, technology, and global connectivity. These sectors signify the EU’s intent to expand its influence and cooperation with India on global issues.

Scheduled for final adoption at the planned India-EU summit in New Delhi next year, the agfinisha highlights the importance of mutual respect and trust in fostering a security and defence partnership. The EU highlights areas like cyber defence and maritime security as potential areas of future collaboration.
