EU allocates 7.5 million euros for energy sustainability in Kosovo

The European Union has disbursed an additional 7.5 million euros to Kosovo under the Energy Support Package (IPA 2023). The news was announced by the EU Office through a post on Facebook, which highlights that this support is part of the commitment to the green transition and clean energy in Kosovo.
“The EU stands by Kosovo and its people on the path towards sustainable energy, decarbonisation and energy security,” the statement declared.
According to the EU office in Kosovo, so far with support worth 75 million euros, over 200,000 families have received assistance with energy bills, over 3,600 houtilizes have been renovated for energy efficiency, while 28 residential buildings for vulnerable families are under renovation.
It is also announced that over 40,000 families and 154 businesses have been supported with solar and energy-efficient equipment.
