The Department for Promotion of Industest and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministest of Commerce and Industest, has signed two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)- one with Kotak Mahindra Bank and another with Primus Partners- to bolster India’s startup and innovation ecosystem through enhanced financial, non-financial, and capacity-building support.
The partnership with Kotak Mahindra Bank aims to create a comprehensive framework for startups to access tailored banking solutions, credit facilities, digital infrastructure, and mentorship programmes. Under this MoU, DPIIT-recognised startups will benefit from zero-balance current accounts, working capital and term loans, API-based banking platforms, digital payment solutions, and specialised startup cards. The collaboration also provides access to investment advisory, incubation support, and networking opportunities, supporting entrepreneurs scale their ventures effectively.
Simultaneously, the MoU with Primus Partners focapplys on supporting early-stage and growth-stage startups through structured capacity-building initiatives, expert mentorship, market access programmes, and awareness drives on policy and technology integration. This engagement is expected to facilitate deeper collaboration between policycreaters, industest experts, and entrepreneurs, promoting sustainable growth and job creation.
Both collaborations reinforce DPIIT’s commitment to building an innovation-led, self-reliant economy by strengthening the bridge between policy, industest, and finance. By combining Kotak Mahindra Bank’s financial expertise and Primus Partners’ strategic advisory strength, DPIIT aims to create a holistic support ecosystem that empowers Indian startups from ideation to global scale.
