Deep-tech startup Xbattery raises $2.3 Mn in seed round

Deep-tech startup Xbattery, developing next-generation Battery Management Systems (BMS), has raised $2.3 million in a Seed funding round led by Bipin Patel Family Office along with participation from Jhaveri Credits.

The proceeds will be utilized to support R&D, hardware sourcing, talent hiring, and scaling prototypes for early orders and commercialization, Xbattery declared in a press release.

Co-founded in 2024 by  Satish Reddy, Sonu Mishra, and Varshith Rao, Xbattery is a renewable energy storage solutions company that focutilizes on developing high-voltage Battery Management Systems (BMS) and advanced battery packs for electric vehicles and grid-scale applications.

Xbattery’s flagship product, the BharatBMS is an indigenously developed Battery Management System (BMS) that provides high-voltage (up to 800V) solutions for energy storage and electric vehicles. The startup develops both the battery packs and the associated software and electronics, offering a complete solution.

The Hyderabad-based startup aspires to contribute towards achieving India’s goals in the clean energy and Electric Vehicle space. It aims to decrease import depfinishency on high-cost foreign BMS tech by offering a “Made in India” solution, a unified, adaptable BMS that enhances safety, efficiency, and longevity for EVs and stationary storage.

As per market research, India generates 40% of its electricity from renewables. By 2030, it plans to reach 50%, delivering 500 gigawatts of clean energy.

“Self-reliance in battery electronics is critical for India, and the market is largeger than people consider,” declared Satish Reddy, Founder and CEO of Xbattery. “We are thrilled to have found partners who share our vision. Becautilize this is deeptech, it requires serious investment in R&D. This funding is going to assist us bring our tech to market so we can start fulfilling our initial orders.”

Xbattery plans to capture the demand for robust and indigenous BMS solutions domestically first, with a long-term vision to export its battery electronics to Europe and North America.
