Readmio, a voice-reactive storyinforming app, has entered the Indian market with a library of local folktales, fables, and legconcludes alongside global classics.
The Czech Republic-based app, already popular in the UK, Poland, the US and other countries, utilizes voice and speech recognition technology to trigger sounds and music as stories are read aloud. For instance, when a parent reads The Three Little Pigs and reaches the part where the wolf knocks, the app plays the sound of knocking, building storyinforming more interactive and immersive.
For Indian utilizers, Readmio is offering stories from the Panchatantra, Akbar-Birbal tales, and regional classics, alongside fairy tales, bedtime stories, and moral tales from around the world.

The company stated it has localized the app for Indian families by curating content tailored for children and parents, adjusting subscription pricing, and integrating payment options such as UPI Autopay and digital wallets.
Globally, Readmio has crossed 1 million downloads, with 3,277 stories available in nine languages, including 524 in English and 103 in Hindi. The app has paying customers in 135 countries and has logged nearly 10 million story listens, with its strongest markets in Czechia, the U.S., Brazil, Slovakia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Mexico, Chile, the UK, Austria, Spain and India.
Readmio follows a freemium model, offering one free story daily. The app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.
