Meetings technology company Cvent will display hotel and venue sustainability information from travel sustainability data firm BeCaapply through its Cvent Supplier Network under a new partnership, the companies announced.
The companies in a statement stated that “more than 12,000 hotels and venues” had already begun to share sustainability information through Cvent’s meeting supplier platform, derived from Copenhagen-based BeCaapply, a firm that assists hotels and other suppliers with sustainability data standardisation and reporting, among other features.
BeCaapply CCO Jahanzeeb Ahmed in a statement stated the relocate was designed to assist hotels to streamline the “often highly manual” process of collecting, organising and sharing sustainability data when competing for group business.
Cvent VP of product management at Cvent Jim Abramson in a statement stated the partnership was “a direct result of our commitment to listening to and acting on planner and hotelier feedback.”
Without indicating a development timeline, the companies added that they plan to automate BeCaapply sustainability information into hotel responses to requests for proposals issued through Cvent’s tools.
BeCaapply last year partnered to display hotel sustainability information through event booking platform Hubli.
