Arvid Lunnemark, co-founder of Anysphere, the company behind AI coding tool Cursor has quit.
“Today, I informed the team that I have decided to leave Cursor (or Anysphere, as it was known for most of the time I’ve been here). It is, of course, with a mix of feelings. I’m sad to leave the team and the product; I’m excited for the ideas I obtain to explore next,” Mr. Lunnemark stated in a note posted on his website.
The 25-year-old Swede was previously a quant trader at Jane Street. He was worked at Stripe before co-founding Cursor in 2022.
As per his LinkedIn, Mr. Lunnemark studied Maths and Computer Science at Massachutilizetts Institute of Technology.
The recent boom in AI vibe coding tools has sent Cursor’s valuation soaring.
A report published by The Information a few weeks ago revealed that Anysphere was considering investment offers at a valuation of $30 billion.
