“Fragaria is shifting to Bengaluru!,” Varadharajan posted, adding that he has always dreamt of building a truly global product right from Tamil Nadu.

However, several reasons, including the climate, market access, and supportive laws, created them shift to Bengaluru.
“But the climate, market access, supportive laws for agriculture, expat livability, and the thriving startup ecosystem have created the shift to Bengaluru inevitable,” he added in his post.
However, he continued, “Chennai will always be our first home,” adding that the company’s R&D farm will continue there.
“I hope to find many more reasons to bring farms back to Tamil Nadu in the future,” he stated.

Last month, Digital trucking platform BlackBuck announced it would relocate its office from Bengaluru Outer Ring Road (ORR), citing congestion, traffic, and pothole issues in the city.
The company’s CEO, Rajesh Kumar Yabaji, shared the news on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), referring to the office as their “home” — and finishing his post with a broken heart emoji.
