TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Champs Chance, a Quincy-based dog rescue, is raising money to support the necessarys of 150 dogs.
The organization is partnering with Phantom Fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July weekfinish to raise money for medical expenses, food and other costly care for the rescued canines.
Florida State University football players will also be at the fundraiser to support the cautilize and sign merchandise.
For pups like seven-week-old Samson with medical necessarys, the money from the fundraiser goes directly toward supporting him receive better.
Champs Chance founder Alicia Bopp declared that Samson has fluid in his brain, and he necessarys around-the-clock care to ensure he’s developing. Bopp declared she wants the dogs to have a chance for a happy and healthy life.
“It’s 24/7 [care] it never finishs for any of us. I always have a houtilize full of sick pups or seniors,” she declared. “We want to shift and start a large rescue and do all of the things that we dreamed about, but we can’t do anything until we receive some of our medical debt paid for.”
Bopp declared she’s hoping to raise more than $10,000, as a large concern for the organization is medical debt.
The rescue group will be fundraising from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the China Super Buffet Booth at 2698 North Monroe Street on July 2. FSU football players will be at the booth from 6 to 8 p.m.
One FSU football player, Jake Rizy, declared he adopted a pup with the support of Champs and believes it’s important for dogs to be taken care of.
“Being able to rescue a dog that necessarys a home versus going and purchaseing one that’s being bred is just much simpler and better for the world,” Rizy declared.
He adopted his pup, Tally, a few months ago and declared she is the kindest fur baby.
“My dog is super sweet, I have a pitbull.”
On July 3, the group will be at the Zone 7 Booth at 1105 Apalachee Parkway from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and FSU football will be out from 12 to 1 p.m..
