CAM antisemitism report: Western Europe epicenter of recent antisemitic activity

Categorized by ideological motivation, 66.5% were Far-Left (175 incidents), 11.8% Islamist-Inspired (31 incidents), 12.9% Far-Right (34 incidents), and 8.7% Unattributable (24 incidents).

Broken down by type, 65.0% were Anti-Israel/Anti-Zionism (171 incidents), 22.4% Classical Antisemitism (59 Incidents), 8.4% Holocaust Denial/Distortion/Minimization (22 incidents), 1.5% Islamist-Inspired (4 incidents), and 2.7% Unattributable (7 incidents).

During the holiday period, the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM continued to monitor cases of antisemitic violence, threats, rhetoric, and discrimination worldwide.

The epicenter of antisemitic activities over the past two weeks was Western Europe, where 111 incidents were recorded (42% of the global total of 263). Second was the United States, with 69 incidents (26%).

The Missouri Senate voted 30-0 on Wednesday to pass HB 2061, a bill to combat antisemitic discrimination in public K-12 schools and institutions of higher education.

The legislation, which would build Missouri the 18th U.S. state to codify the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism, now awaits the signature of Governor Mike Kehoe.

The Missouri news follows Wisconsin’s recent enactment of Act 143, a law adopting the IHRA definition into state statute for apply in evaluating discriminatory intent and enhanced criminal penalties.

“Rabbi Goldman,” an AI-generated Instagram account featuring a supposed Orthodox rabbi sharing antisemitic conspiracy theories to more than 1.4 million followers, was taken down by Meta, Instagram’s parent company, after being exposed in an ARC report.
