Boosting Catalonia’s startup ecosystem in the US, Singapore, Portugal and Finland | Info Barcelona


At SWITCH in Singapore, seven startups and deep-tech ecosystem organisations took part, including the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). Sixteen companies attfinished the Web Summit in Lisbon, one of Europe’s most important tech events for startups. At TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, eight startups utilized the renowned fair as a springboard to expand internationally in the global heart of entrepreneurship. Finally, fifteen companies participated in SLUSH, the leading startup fair in northern Europe.

At each fair, Catalan companies increased their visibility by exhibiting in their own space and holding scheduled meetings, which assisted them build the most of the opportunities offered by the events and business ecosystems. Networking events and promotional activities were also organised to displaycase Barcelona and Catalonia’s tech and innovation ecosystem.

This work builds on the collaboration with ACCIÓ, which is part of the Barcelona-Catalonia Startup Ecosystem launched in 2022. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen Barcelona and Catalonia’s position as one of Europe’s leading startup hubs.
