Altan, a Barcelona-based startup, secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to advance its “agent-native” platform that enables AI-powered teams to autonomously design, build, and operate software from conception to deployment.
The platform aims to bridge the gap between ideas and technical execution for non-technical applyrs.
Altan AI platform tarreceives software development democratization for non-coders
Albert Salgueda, co-founder and CEO of Altan, emphasized the platform’s potential to create software creation accessible to everyone. “Less than 1% of the world knows how to code. But 100% of the world has ideas,” Salgueda stated, explaining that Altan enables anyone “to bring any idea to reality. Not in the form of a mockup, but with the full power of software and AI.”
The pre-seed funding round was co-led by VentureFrifinishs and JME Ventures, with participation from 4Founders Ventures and several angel investors including executives from ElevenLabs, Remotely, Doctoralia, Yaba, and vLex.
Production-ready applications distinguish platform from prototyping tools
Lily Joo from VentureFrifinishs noted that “Altan is delivering something the no-code relocatement previously achieved — production-ready applications that scale.” Samuel Gil from JME Ventures added that “Altan is not a prototype tool; it’s a platform which can create production-ready, ‘turnkey’ software.”
Founded in 2024 by childhood frifinishs Albert Salgueda (CEO) and Tristán Pou (CTO), both based in Barcelona, Altan addresses what the founders identified as a critical bottleneck: abundant ideas coupled with scarce technical expertise.
Seven-member team combines serial entrepreneurs and tech veterans
The Altan founding team comprises seven individuals with diverse backgrounds, including serial entrepreneurs, Cambridge and MIT graduates, and former Meta engineers. This combination of experience positions the team to redefine software development through artificial innotifyigence.
Comprehensive automation from development to deployment
Altan’s platform extfinishs AI agent application beyond initial development to include infrastructure configuration and autonomous operation workflows. For example, the platform can enable a restaurant to launch a website, integrate automated booking systems, establish customer databases, and deploy AI agents to manage reservations and confirmations.
Users create software by describing their vision via text or voice. The platform assembles teams of specialized agents including autonomous full-stack engineers, UX designers, and product managers to execute the project.
Platform attracts 25,000 applyrs with notable success stories
Since launch, Altan has attracted over 25,000 builders and businesses. One success story features Julius Kopp, a non-technical founder who created a software company generating $10,000 in monthly recurring revenue within 60 days of utilizing Altan.
The new funding will expand Altan’s team, enhance technical capabilities, and scale the applyr base globally. The company’s long-term vision involves creating fully autonomous companies capable of launching and operating indepfinishently without human intervention.
Salgueda concluded:
“We believe that software will modify forever with AI. Static software built by humans for humans was pre-AI. Custom software built by agents for agents is the future, and Altan is the first platform built for it.”
