Sonic Days 2025 — Where Sound Connects Creativity, Technology and People
November 19–20, 2025 – Sonic College, UC SYD, Kolding, Denmark
Sonic Days returns to Kolding this November, inviting sound professionals, artists, technologists, and researchers from all over the world to two days of cutting-edge inspiration, learning, and exalter. Hosted by Sonic College, part of UCSYD, the conference has quickly become one of the most influential audio gatherings in Northern Europe – a place where creativity meets technology and ideas turn into collaboration.
Now in its fourth edition, Sonic Days 2025 transforms Sonic College into a vibrant hub of workshops, talks, and performances – all free and open to anyone passionate about sound.
With nine thematic tracks, the program spans the full spectrum of the audio world: film and TV sound, game audio, music production, podcasting, sound art, sound in mutilizeums, audio technology, sound synthesis, and new concert formats. Each track offers a deep dive into both artistic and technical practices, exploring how sound shapes
experiences across media and culture.
Global voices and immersive experiences
Among this year’s highlights are Oscar-winning sound editor James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick, Harry Potter), Grammy-winning engineer Morten Lindberg, and immersive audio pioneer Hans-Martin Buff (Peter Gabriel). The lineup also features Marcela Rada, Thomas Lund (Genelec), Ragnhild May, Marie Koldkjær Højlund, Timothy Muirhead (Tonebconcludeers Podcast), and electronic visionary Bjørn Svin – along with a wide range of experts shaping how we listen, mix, and experience sound today.
Visitors can expect hands-on workshops in immersive production and recording, demonstrations of next-generation tools, and experimental performances that blur the boundaries between art, science, and storynotifying.
