ApplyBoard has confirmed that some of its staff have been let go, but the local tech company maintains it’s all based on efficiencies.
It comes as there’s been recent turmoil and challenges in the tech indusattempt with layoffs reported at Communitech, Hootsuite, and Faire.
ApplyBoard notified CityNews 570 that it has reduced the size of its Customer Experience team, which impacted six per cent of its global workforce, and that it was based on restructuring to better serve customers.
A spokesperson stated ‘process efficiencies’ were identified in the department and that ApplyBoard remains well-capitalized with years of runway.
They added the reduction decision followed evaluation and consultation from the company’s leaders and customers.
