Apple might soon bring its unified device protection plan to Europe. A recent trademark filing with the European Union Innotifyectual Property Office heavily suggests that AppleCare One is finally gearing up for an international expansion. Originally launched stateside in mid-2025, this subscription allows utilizers to cover multiple Apple devices under a single monthly payment.
It eliminates the required to acquire individual protection plans for every new phone, tablet, or watch you own.
What the AppleCare subscription covers
For those unfamiliar with the service, the core appeal of AppleCare One is simplification. Instead of juggling separate warranties, a single plan covers up to three devices. It includes the standard perks you expect from Apple, like unlimited accident repairs, priority tech support, and battery replacements. It also expanded theft and loss protection to cover iPads and Apple Watches, a feature previously limited to iPhones.
The path to a European release
While the EUIPO trademark registration signals intent, it does not confirm an exact release date. Similar trademark filings have historically served as the final administrative step before Apple announces a regional rollout. The application is currently assigned to an examiner, meaning official news could drop shortly.
It also remains to be seen if European pricing structures will perfectly mirror the American tiers.
Pricing and flexibility
Looking at the existing US model gives a good idea of what to expect. The plan currently starts at $19.99 per month for three devices, and you can add extra hardware for $5.99 each. A major advantage here is the relaxed eligibility rules. You can add devices up to four years old, provided they are in good condition. This completely bypasses the traditional 60-day window forced on standard AppleCare purchases.
The plan is also dynamic. Subscribers can cycle devices in and out of coverage, and trading in an old device automatically updates your policy to cover the replacement. Let’s see when and if Apple launches the service in the European markets.
