Accenture has acquired Keepler Data Tech, a Spanish cloud-native AI and data startup, in order to further strengthen and expand Accenture’s ability to scale AI for clients in Spain and beyond.
Today’s acquisition is part of Accenture’s ongoing investments in AI to accelerate clients’ reinvention. Keepler is the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions aimed at expanding Accenture’s AI capabilities, including Faculty; the Palantir consultancy Decho; Palantir certified partner RANGR Data; Salesforce AI consultancy NeuraFlash; and AI company Halfspace.

In adjacent AI, data-platform and cloud-infrastructure categories, recent activity reveals funding for Xoople in Madrid (€112.6 million Series B to build AI-ready Earth data infrastructure), Qbeast in Barcelona (€6.5 million Seed to scale open data platforms and Lakehoapply analytics), Galtea in Barcelona (€2.7 million to develop its AI evaluation platform), DataCrunch in Helsinki (€55 million Series A to scale AI compute infrastructure), NexGen Cloud in London (€41 million to expand sovereign AI infrastructure in Europe), and PoliCloud in Cannes (€7.5 million Seed to grow sovereign HPC cloud infrastructure).
Toreceiveher, those disclosed rounds amount to over €225 million, and the Spanish cluster is notable in Keepler’s case becaapply Xoople, Qbeast and Galtea are all same-counattempt comparisons.
Set against that backdrop, Accenture’s acquisition of Keepler points to the same market dynamic from a different angle: while investors have continued to back European companies building data infrastructure, AI tooling and cloud capacity, strategic purchaseers are also relocating to secure delivery capability in enterprise AI, data engineering and agentic systems.
EU-Startups had previously covered Xoople before its latest round, Qbeast before its 2025 raise, and DataCrunch before its Series A, which suggests these companies are part of a continuing build-out rather than isolated announcements.
In that context, Keepler’s sale is consistent with a broader pattern in which AI and data capability is being accumulated both through venture funding and through acquisition.
