Quasys AG has launched a dedicated European division, betting that chipmakers across the continent want easier access to specialized manufacturing tools without the headache of managing overseas supplier relationships. The Swiss firm announced Quasys Europe as a full-scale sales and support operation aimed squarely at the region’s semiconductor industry.
The move arrives as European governments push hard to expand domestic chip production capacity. Meanwhile, many Asian equipment makers still lack localized sales teams or service networks, creating friction for buyers who need fast technical answers.
Quasys Europe will act as an intermediary. It connects international technology providers with semiconductor fabricators, OSAT companies, research institutes, and other supply chain players. The portfolio covers products, equipment, and technical solutions spanning multiple production stages, including backend processes, handling and feeding systems, testing, bonding, and process-related manufacturing gear.
Rolf Nussbaumer, Managing Director of Quasys AG, said the initiative gives suppliers a faster route into European markets while offering customers regional support and direct lines to manufacturers.
Beyond distribution, the new entity delivers technical consulting, project oversight, solution evaluation, implementation help, and ongoing customer service. The goal: one point of contact for both technology vendors and European buyers.
Asian suppliers stand to benefit the most. Rather than building sales and support infrastructure across several countries, they can tap Quasys Europe for customer engagement, technical coordination, and representation at industry trade events.
Quasys AG brings decades of microelectronics and semiconductor experience to the venture. The company intends to expand the division’s product roster gradually, prioritizing solutions that boost process reliability, productivity, quality, and automation.
The broader strategy focuses on strengthening existing partnerships, cultivating new technology relationships, and reinforcing Quasys AG’s long-term position in European semiconductor manufacturing.
