Waterless wool technology startup IndigoTex secures Rs 5 crore for global luxury push

IAN Angel Fund leads Rs 5 Cr round in deeptech textile startup IndigoTex

IndigoTex, a deep-tech textile venture spun out of IIT Delhi, has secured Rs 5 crore in fresh capital. IAN Angel Fund led the investment, with SIDBI, FITT, and IIT Delhi Angels joining the round.

The startup plans to use the funds to establish manufacturing operations, grow its sales and operations workforce, and bring its textile innovations to market.

Founded in 2024 by Satfinishra Singh, Prof. B.S. Butola, and Dilip Singh, IndigoTex focuses on waterless wool finishing technology and wool-based fabrics. Its signature product, IndiWool Denim, blends wool with denim to create fabrics suited for varied climates, from lightweight versions for year-round wear to wool-heavy options designed for colder regions.

Meanwhile, the company is also advancing ECOTEX Wool, a technology that makes wool and poly-wool fabrics washable. IndigoTex has already established a finishing facility in Rai Industrial Area, Sonipat, Haryana. Its research and development work continues at the Research and Innovation Park located on the IIT Delhi campus.

The startup has signed non-disclosure agreements with global fashion heavyweights Ralph Lauren and Kering Group in France. As a result, IndigoTex now finds itself in active conversations with premium and luxury labels, garment manufacturers, fabric exporters, and sourcing firms. Its reach extends into European markets and colder climate regions such as Australia, with ongoing discussions in France, Russia, and Denmark.

IndigoTex previously earned a spot among 120 startups selected for Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, France, and also appeared at the BRICS Summit 2026. The new funding positions the company to move from development to scaled production, a critical transition for hardware-focused deep-tech ventures.
