Two Fintech Alumni Crack Europe’s Top 10 Fastest-Growing Startup Ranking

Five Techstars Portfolio Companies Make the 2026 Sifted 250

Five Techstars-backed startups have cracked the 2026 Sifted 250 ranking, an annual index of Europe’s fastest-growing firms by revenue over three financial years. Two of them, Flowpay and Yaspa, landed inside the top 10.

Making the list demands more than promising metrics. Companies need at least three years of documented revenue, proprietary technology driving the majority of that income, and signed verification for any figures not already public. This year’s cohort of 250 generated €5.8bn in combined revenue and employs over 25,000 people across Europe.

Flowpay claimed the #5 spot. Founded in Prague and part of Techstars’ 2022 class, the fintech supplies data-driven working capital financing to small and medium enterprises. Yaspa followed at #7. The London-based company, a Techstars 2017 alum, builds open banking payment and identity tools that let businesses move funds and verify customers directly through bank accounts.

Further down the list, Pack took #70. The Bologna edtech startup, from Techstars 2023, develops AI-native software that helps product teams research, plan, and manage development work.

Two French climate tech firms rounded out the group. Kumulus Water, Techstars 2022, secured #121 for its Paris-built machines that extract drinking water from atmospheric humidity. BioEsol, also Techstars 2022, landed at #225. The Grenoble company creates energy storage and management systems for renewable energy projects.

The five companies operate across wildly different sectors: lending, payments, workforce learning, water, and energy storage. Yet their founders share a common thread. They kept building, kept selling, and converted early momentum into sustained revenue growth. As a result, they now rank among Europe’s most dynamic private companies.
