Fintech giant Jeeves swallows $110M to dominate Latin America’s startup funding week

Week 40: Latin America Startup Funding Led by Jeeves

Latin American startups pulled in $110.4 million in disclosed funding this week, with financial technology dominating the flow of investor capital.

The region’s startup ecosystem continues to attract attention from both global heavyweights and local angel investors. This week’s activity spanned multiple sectors, including a Chilean retail AI company that landed an angel round at a $3 million valuation.

## Jeeves leads with $110M fintech raise

Mexico-based corporate payments platform Jeeves secured the week’s largest round, raising $110 million. CoinFund led the investment, with participation from AllianceBernstein, Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase Ventures, CRV, GIC, Global PayTech Ventures, ParaFi, Vista, Wintermute, and Y Combinator.

Jeeves offers corporate cards, accounts payable, treasury payments, and expense management tools for companies operating across multiple markets. Meanwhile, the company has expanded its stablecoin offerings recently, launching a wallet that enables instant payments to 190 countries and a stablecoin card now available in 35 countries.

The fresh capital will fund product expansion and global growth initiatives.

## Alteria grabs angel funding for retail AI

Chilean startup Alteria, which builds AI assistant technology for physical retailers, closed an undisclosed angel investment at a $3 million valuation. The platform helps store staff and customers access product details such as technical specifications, pricing, compatibility, and real-time inventory levels.

Alteria currently serves roughly 10 clients across more than 100 store locations, concentrated in hardware, technology, and cosmetics retail. The company plans to focus on the Chilean market before moving into Peru, Colombia, and Mexico.

As a result, Alteria has set a target of reaching $1 million in annual recurring revenue by mid-2027.
