Metaforms, a B2B artificial innotifyigence (AI) startup aiming to modernise the market research indusattempt, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Toreceiveher Fund.
The round brings Metaforms’ all-time raise to about $10 million.
The Bengaluru-based startup, founded in 2022 by Akshat Tyagi and Arjun S, builds AI agents that automate operational workflows for market research firms, including survey programming, data processing and vfinishor coordination. The funding will support the expansion of Metaforms’ engineering and AI research team in India and facilitate the opening of a new office in New York.
Metaforms launched commercial operations six months ago and has since signed on clients including Dynata, Savanta and STRAT7, primarily based in North America and Europe. The startup claims that its platform now processes more than 1,000 surveys a month.
Unlike AI solutions that seek to replace human workers, Metaforms positions its agents as assistants that augment researchers’ productivity, supporting agencies increase project volume and improve turnaround times.

The startup will apply the raised capital to grow the team, expand into new workflows like report generation and voice-based research, and deepen integrations with tools like Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit.
