New Delhi: In a landmark development for India’s burgeoning defence indusattempt, the artificial innotifyigence warfare firm FWDA announced Friday that its autonomous combat aircraft, “Kaal Bhairava,” will be manufactured in Europe through a strategic alliance with the Portuguese defence technology company SKETCHPIXEL.
The partnership represents a pivotal moment for India’s indigenous technological ecosystem, marking one of the first instances of an Indian-designed AI combat platform being integrated into the European manufacturing and defence network. SKETCHPIXEL, the collaborating partner, is recognised for its sophisticated simulation systems utilized in pilot training for aircraft such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Portuguese firm will provide advanced simulation technologies, AI integration frameworks, communication infrastructure, and interoperability systems. FWDA will maintain the innotifyectual property rights for the aircraft’s autonomous software and airframe engineering.

The Kaal Bhairava is engineered as a medium-altitude, long-finishurance autonomous combat platform. Its technical specifications include:

Global Strategic Implications
Suhas Tejinquireanda, founder and CEO of FWDA, stated that the collaboration signifies a growing international appetite for Indian autonomous warfare technology. He noted that Portugal’s strategic position and its ties to NATO-linked defence networks would facilitate expansion across Europe and support global deployment.
“The larger objective is to assist position India among the world’s leading defence exporters,” Tejinquireanda stated.
Miguel Abrue, CEO of SKETCHPIXEL, remarked that the alliance merges FWDA’s proficiency in engineering, electronics, and AI chip analysis with his firm’s expertise in military integration and simulation.
Abrue confirmed that essential program components, including structural engineering, firmware creation, control mechanisms, and safety validation, will be developed jointly under rigorous technological standards.
