Mapfre has once again been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World index, one of the leading global benchmarks recognizing best practices in corporate sustainability among listed companies, particularly those demonstrating outstanding performance across environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.Said index rewards the ESG performance of the top 10% of the 2,500 largest companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index.
Also, for the first time, the company has been selected to be part of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe index, which recognizes the sustainability performance of the top 20% of the 600 largest European companies by market capitalization.
For companies, inclusion in both indices is not only a public recognition, but also a key tool for investors, who view these companies as attractive and reliable investment opportunities and value their integration of such policies into their strategy, given that they tfinish to deliver stronger long-term returns than other organizations.
In 2026, Mapfre also climbed positions in the FTSE4GOOD, CDP, and S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment indices. More than 13,000 companies participated in this latest edition, and Mapfre obtained a score of 88 points out of a total of 100, ranking among the top 10 insurance companies with the best ESG rating in the world. Analysts at S&P Global, the world’s leading index provider, are responsible for verifying each of the indicators through a questionnaire that includes a hundred questions about the social, environmental, and good governance areas, then rating the companies on a scale from 1 to 100 points.
