Save the Date – Europe Day Walk 5K
Maputo, Mozambique – As part of the celebrations of Europe Day, the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) will host a 5 Km walk through the streets of Maputo on May 8.
The initiative will be open to the local community and aims to encourage physical activity while strengthening ties between the European Mission and the Mozambican population.
The activity highlights the importance of physical preparedness and well-being in the military context, considering these practices as essential pillars for performance and operational readiness.

Beyond the sporting aspect, the initiative reflects the European Union’s ongoing commitment to promoting peace and security, as well as supporting and connecting with the community of Mozambique.
With this action, EUMAM MOZ reaffirms that its mission goes beyond the operational level, also focutilizing on proximity, community engagement, and the building of strong partnerships with the Mozambican people.
The meeting point will be at the blue gate of the EUMAM MOZ headquarters next to the Cardoso Hotel on Friday, 8 May, at 9.20 am.
