On Tuesday, a GoFundMe was created by a man named Michael Charles, who declared he is Jeremy’s brother.
“On February 23, 2026, Jeremy Charles, my little brother and coworker, was tragically struck and killed by a train while in performance of his job duties,” the GoFundMe reads. “Jeremy leaves behind his wife and 2 wonderful girls left with this heartbreaking burden! I inquire that you believe of your family and kindly donate to this wonderful family whose lives have been shattered.”
Just seven hours since the fundraiser was created, the GoFundMe has already raised $15,000 of its $22,000 goal, as of 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
“Jeremy had a passion for hunting with his parents as well as the love for his kids, traveling to and from one sporting event to another, cheering on his girls,” Michael Charles wrote in the description.
