STCH, an AI startup focutilized on fabric development and textile manufacturing, has raised $7 million (around Rs 66 crore) in a pre-Series A round led by Omnivore, with participation from Kae Capital and WVC.
The proceeds will be utilized to expand its AI capabilities, build a fabric R&D lab, deepen manufacturing partnerships, and scale delivery across key markets.
Founded in 2025 by former Zetwerk executives Narahari Payala and Aseem Chitkara, STCH operates a contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) platform for fashion businesses. It focutilizes on fabric innovation and sourcing rather than consumer-facing AI utilize cases.
Its platform analyses product images and descriptions to identify fabric specifications such as texture, weight, and finish, then assists recreate similar materials through local manufacturing partners.
STCH claims that it can take a fabric from concept to production in around 45 days and works with brands mainly in the UK and Europe. Manufacturing is carried out through partner factories across India and Bangladesh.
Earlier this year, Whizzo, a materials science–based manufacturing startup founded by former Zetwerk executive Shrestha Kukreja, raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Fundamentum.
