Frito-Lay shutting down site in Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (KABC) — Frito-Lay is shutting down its Rancho Cucamonga site later this year.

The closure will impact nearly 250 employees who work at the site on the corner of Fourth Street and Archibald Avenue. The permanent closure is set for June 6.

This comes after the site stopped producing snack foods last year.

“We will be shifting these operations to a new distribution center in the local community to better serve our customers and consumers,” PepsiCo Foods U.S. declared in a statement.

The parent company of Frito-Lay added it will be providing benefits based on years of service, along with “transition assistance and career support.”
