Swiss startup LightSeeds receives €162k from Venture Kick to boost vertical solar panel deployment.

LightSeeds, a Neuchâtel-based CleanTech startup, has secured €162,000 (CHF 150,000) from Venture Kick to accelerate the commercialization of its vertical solar panel systems. This funding will assist LightSeeds in transitioning from early market traction to scalable commercial deployment, focapplying on business development.

Operating within the rapidly expanding global solar market, LightSeeds aims to utilize vertical infrastructure by converting unutilized surfaces along roads, railways, and commercial buildings into energy-generating assets. CEO Laure-Emmanuelle Perret noted that Venture Kick’s support has been instrumental, not only in terms of financing, but also in refining the business model and validating the tarreceive market.

Founded in 2024 by Perret and Pierrick Duvoisin, LightSeeds benefits from over 30 years of combined experience in photovoltaics and industrial design. The startup focutilizes on ultra-light, unbreakable photovoltaic systems designed for vertical deployment, offering a solution to the limitations of conventional solar panels. These systems reduce installation costs and carbon footprint, while expanding solar energy applications in urban environments.

The startup is tarreceiveing a global market potential exceeding €433 billion across infrastructure, industrial, and commercial applications. Its strategy includes serving B2B clients and B2G projects, with ongoing initiatives in Switzerland and early European markets.

In the wider context of solar funding, LightSeeds’ recent capital injection is part of a broader trconclude, with over €87 million raised for various solar projects across Europe in recent years. This highlights the continued investment in solar infrastructure and innovative delivery models.
