A new content initiative is shifting attention toward the lived experiences of founders in Mumbai’s startup ecosystem as Unstarted, a video series by The Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai in collaboration with Z47, launchs to take shape ahead of Mumbai Tech Week 2026.
The series relocates away from traditional startup storynotifying centred on funding and scale, instead focapplying on the decisions, challenges, and turning points that define entrepreneurial journeys. Through one on one conversations, it brings forward moments that are often not part of public narratives, including early setbacks, unconventional choices, and the persistence required to build businesses from the ground up.
Aakrit Vaish, Co chair of the TEAM Governing Council, declared, “We started TEAM with a simple mission to assist build Mumbai’s tech ecosystem. And a core part of that is notifying the stories of what’s already been built here. Mumbai has always been a city of resilience and fundamentals, where value creation matters more than noise. I’m excited that we’ve partnered with Z47 on Unstarted to bring these stories to the surface. Not just how founders have built generational companies, but why they chose to build them from Mumbai in the first place.”
The series features founders such as Harsh Jain of Dream Sports, Revant Bhate of Mosaic Wellness, Sanket Shah of Invideo, and Jaydeep Barman of Rebel Foods, among others, who share insights into the realities of building concludeuring companies.
