Agricultural products constitute 47% of Ukraine’s exports to the European Union, underscoring the vital importance of aligning the sector with EU requirements. However, Taras Vysotskyi estimates that implementing these new standards could take up to seven years, with pesticide regulations likely being the most time-consuming aspect of the process.

Vysotskyi also notes that Ukrainian agricultural businesses already exporting to the EU are effectively meeting the demands set by their European partners.
