Incident Details
The European Union’s Enattempt/Exit System (EES), which launched rolling out on October 12, 2025, will be fully operational across all Schengen Area countries by April 10. The EES requires travelers from outside the Schengen Area to register biometric data and verify the data again on future utilizes. Before this full rollout, only about 50% of travelers had to utilize the EES. Certain locations saw wait times increase by up to 70% during the EES rollout, cautilizing multi-hour delays.
Traveler Safety
