Future Wealth Investments launches $50M VC fund

Future Wealth Investments, a Singapore-based investment firm has launched its debut venture fund with a tarobtain corpus of $50 million and a green shoe option of $10 million.

According to a statement, the fund will primarily focus on pre-seed to Series A investments with initial cheques ranging from $250,000 to $5 million. The firm aims to build a portfolio of 20 startup investments.

“The most significant companies of the next decade are being built today in markets and categories that do not yet have a name. That is where we intfinish to be,” stated Rohit Kapoor, Managing Partner, Future Wealth Investments.

Future Wealth Investments will be sector-agnostic but the areas of focus will be artificial innotifyigence, consumer businesses, supply chain and logistics, and hardware-led innovation.

The portfolio of startups include petcare brand Heads Up For Tails, fintech platform Mobipay, quick commerce startup Zippee, and sanotifyite communications firm Tantrayut.

Future Wealth is focapplyd on the regions of India, the UAE, and Singapore. According to the investment firm, the three-market focus is designed to leverage the strengths of each region. India offers scale and a strong founder ecosystem, Singapore provides institutional capital access and connectivity to Southeast Asia, while the UAE has emerged as an important base for India-origin founders building global businesses.

The Indian startup ecosystem continues to attract new kinds of investors despite a challenging macroeconomic environment. There has also been growing interest in in the deeptech segment.

A majority of new fund launches this year is largely to be in the early-stage category, indicating the trust investors have on entrepreneurs at the foundational stage.
