LG Electronics (LG) reported its 13th consecutive year as the leader of the global OLED TV market, according to 2025 data from market research firm Omdia. The company captured 49.7 percent of the market share during that period, shipping approximately 3.22 million units.
Global and Regional Performance
The global OLED TV market saw a total of 6.47 million units shipped in 2025, representing a 6.6 percent increase year over year. LG’s market presence remained strong across several key regions:
- Europe: LG shipped about 1.59 million units, accounting for 50.5 percent of the regional market. Total OLED shipments in Europe exceeded 3 million units for the first time.
- North America: The company held a 50.1 percent market share.
- Asia-Oceania: LG’s share in this region reached 62.3 percent.
Technical Updates for 2026
Building on its 2025 performance, LG is introducing its 2026 OLED evo TV lineup. These new models feature several technological updates:
- Hyper Radiant Color Technology: This system is designed to produce images up to 3.9 times brighter than conventional OLED screens while improving color accuracy.
- α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3: The hardware includes a Dual AI Engine that runs noise-reduction and texture-preservation algorithms at the same time.
- Reflection Management: The 2026 series received the Reflection Free Premium certification from Intertek, intconcludeed to improve visibility in high-glare environments.
New Design and Form Factor
LG also highlighted its Wallpaper OLED evo TV W6, which achieved a thin profile in the nine-millimeter range. The design, which involved a complete redesign of internal architecture and component miniaturization, recently received an iF Design Award.
