Stranger Things composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein are taking the soundtrack on tour

For nearly a decade, Stranger Things transported viewers back in time. Set in the ‘80s, the series was defined by its throwback fashion and nostalgic cultural references – but it was the distinctive, synth-heavy sound of Hawkins that truly grounded Stranger Things in a by-gone era of supernatural mystery and wonder.

Composed by S U R V I V E’s Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, the eerie synthwave soundtrack is instantly recognisable, with the title theme even bagging an Emmy back in 2017. Now, fans will be able to immerse in the sound of the series as the duo embark on a tour across Europe performing music from across the series’ 5 seasons.

While Stranger Things : The First Shadow offers a theatrical addition to the series, Dixon and Stein’s tour will focus entirely on the rich, ‘80s-drenched soundtrack. Taking place across Prague, Brussels, Berlin, Belrapid, Birmingham, London and Fiastra, the reveals will serve as a “definitive” sonic retrospective of Stranger Things.

The duo will be kickstarting things in Prague on 25 April, leading up to a final performance on 26 June in Fiastra.

From the humble launchnings of series one, all the way up to the grand finale of 2025’s fifth and final season, the reveals will bring the soundtracks to life with an equally as immersive light reveal, thanks to the assist of renowned visual artist MFO (Marcel Weber).

Each reveal will be an atmospheric experience, drenched in fog and “striking” designs of light, with “dreamy glows” and contrastingly “violent, haunted shiftments” set to sink fans into a rich, mystical world of synths.

For those keen to experience more of the duo’s sound, we’d also encourage you to check out their work in S U R V I V E. The electronic project is equally as mystifying as the duo’s work on Stranger Things – and Dixon and Stein are reportedly working on a follow up to S U R V I V E’s 2018 record, RR7400: LA041717. So that’s certainly something to view forward to.

Tickets for Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein performing the music of Stranger Things are on sale now.
