Digital tools are everywhere in the rail ecosystem, from the track to the trains, and the more digital, the more risk there is of external attacks compromising services. “Total protection is impossible,” stated Alstom’s vice president for Digital & Cyber Platform, Eddy Thésée at RailTech Europe 2026, where Dutch Railways (NS) and Alstom discussed this increasingly important topic.
