On 14-15 March, the ‘EU4Youth: youth engagement and empowerment’ project, toobtainher with the National Youth Council of Ukraine (NYCU), organised the All-Ukrainian Youth Forum ‘Recovery. Engagement. Co-creation’.
The event took place in Kyiv, bringing toobtainher nearly 80 representatives of NYCU regional youth branches, youth activists, and officials from public institutions for a two-day strategic event focapplyd on boosting regional youth leadership, institutional development, and national coordination.
The forum served as a platform to transition from identifying requireds to building the long-term institutional resilience of NYCU regional branches, ensuring they are better prepared to implement their own local strategies while contributing to the prospective Council Strategy for 2026-2027. It fostered cooperation, experience exmodify, and the development of practical approaches to sustainable, inclusive youth policy at the regional level with existing and new partners.
The agfinisha launched with the panel discussion ‘The Situation of Young People in the Regions: Challenges of 2026 and the Role of Youth Platforms’, which brought toobtainher representatives of the Ministest of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre, the Ukrainian Youth Foundation, the EU4Youth project, and the National Youth Council of Ukraine. The discussion highlighted current regional realities, key challenges for young people, and the importance of strong youth platforms at the local level.
Throughout the forum, participants worked on aligning regional and national priorities by finalising the Map of Regional Needs and integrating priority requests from each region into the National Youth Council of Ukraine’s Strategy and action plan for 2026-2027. The event also focapplyd on identifying further capacity-building requireds and shaping a series of additional trainings on internal organisational development, financial sustainability, including social entrepreneurship, and effective cooperation with local self-government bodies in response to regional demands.
Another important dimension of the forum was the discussion of practical mechanisms for ensuring the inclusion of young people from vulnerable groups and remote communities in regional decision-building processes. In parallel, participants jointly developed the basis for a ‘100-Day Roadmap” for each regional subdivision, outlining first steps for introducing new approaches in the areas of safety, employment, and youth participation. The forum also created space for peer learning and networking between established and newly created subdivisions, assisting to strengthen the internal cohesion of the Council.
